Bat Size Guide

Bat Size Guide

cricket bats....cricketers and all top coaches agree with suppliers and manufacturers that choosing the correct size bat is vital for the proper technical development of young cricketers. It is important that the bat is not too long and more importantly not too heavy to hinder correct stroke play and good technique, this applies to female cricketer's too. Junior bats are scaled down in size and weight to meet this important requirement.

Pads Size Guide

Pads Size Guide

batting/ keeping pads.... the critical measurement here is the approx distance from the middle of the knee cap down to the instep - where the tongue of the shoe sits. Please note that not all makes of pads are available in every size shown here, but this guide should be a good help. Whilst actual pad sizes have not changed, we and the major manufacturers, having recognised the increasing number of girls and ladies playing, have amended their size descriptions accordingly. Boys can now be labelled Junior, whilst Mens, as either Senior or Adult, predominantly Adult.

Gloves Size Guide

Gloves Size Guide

batting/ keeping gloves.. a bit tricky this one! - but hopefully this will guide you in the right direction. It has been put together with the help of G&M, Kookaburra and Gray-Nicolls. The critical measurement is from the start of the wrist to the tip of your longest finger, in a straight line. This again is only approx, but this guide should again be a good help in steering you in the right direction. Whilst actual glove sizes have not changed, we and the major manufacturers, having recognised the increasing number of girls and ladies playing, have amended their descriptions. Boys can now be labelled Junior and Mens, as either Senior or Adult, predominantly, Adult.

Helmet Size Guide

Helmet Size Guide

...... a good fitting helmet is worn with the peak protruding horizontally from the line of the eyebrows. It should feel firm but comfortable with no excessive movement in any direction. To measure, run a tape measure around the middle of the forehead, just above the eyebrows, around the side - just above the ears to the ‘bump’ on the back of the head. Over time the internal padding will mould to the shape of the head.

Shoe Size Guide

Shoe Size Guide

shoe size converter..... all of our shoe sizes in our online store are quoted in UK sizes. Over the last few years there has been a great improvement made by all manufactures in standardising sizes alongside normal shoe sizes. So you should feel comfortable in making the correct choice, based on your ‘normal' shoe size... but don’t forget to allow for a thicker sock. Any shoes which we feel are sized small or large versus the industry norm are noted on their relevant catalogue page with the relevant advice.

Please note that UK to US/EU sizes can vary on the box from brand to brand. Please note we sell in UK sizes only. Please e-mail us if you need any on the box sizing clarification.
